• Design & Build: Constructed with a high-strength, heat-treated alloy steel body and a hard-chrome-plated or blackodised ram that resists scoring, wear, and corrosion. • Load Holding (Safety Lock-Nut): The external threads along the ram allow a mechanical lock-nut to be screwed down snug against the body once the load is lifted. This transfers the load mechanically off the hydraulic fluid, allowing the jack to safely sustain heavy loads over extended periods. • Load Return Mechanism: Unlike spring-return jacks that use an internal spring to pull the piston back, a load return jack relies on the weight of the external load (or manual push-down) to retract the ram once the pressure valve on the pump is opened.
