• Valving Architecture: Mobile control blocks are typically constructed using a modular, "sandwich" sectional design. A single-acting section uses a 3-way, 3-position (or 2-position) spool configuration. The positions are: 1. Raise/Extend: Directs pump flow to the actuator port. 2. Hold/Neutral: Blocks the port, mechanically trapping fluid to lock the load in place. 3. Lower/Retract: Opens the port to the tank line, routing returning fluid back to the reservoir via gravity or spring contraction. • Actuation Types: Designed for heavy-duty mobile environments, these blocks can be actuated manually via mechanical levers, pneumatically, or electronically using 12V/24V DC proportional solenoids integrated into a vehicle's machine bus system (CAN bus) or remote radio joysticks. • Safety Integration: Mobile setups routinely pair single-acting controls with load-holding valves or lowering brakes directly flanged onto the block. This ensures that if a hydraulic line breaks, the single-acting cylinder will not catastrophically collapse under its own weight. • System Efficiency: By eliminating the secondary pressure line required by double-acting cylinders, single-acting configurations save significant space, use fewer hoses, require simpler control logic, and reduce overall machine power consumption during the return cycle.
Plumbing Footprint Minimized (Half the hoses and fittings required) Standard (Requires dual lines per cylinder)
